Although Lexus has a very interesting hybrid power trains, has a few non-hybrid petrol variants. Comes the Lexus IS 250 , same brand name in the previous range for the 2.5 V6 (208 hp). Has 1 cc more than the IS 300h, which has four cylinders in line in the engine.
The main problem is that atmospheric V6 consumes twice as combined cycle, so does pay tax, between 9.75% and 16.75% depending on version and region of enrollment. On the opposite side is slightly faster than the IS 300h of 223 hp (+25 km / h, -0.2 s in 0-100 km / h).
The engine 4GR- FSE has not changed from the previous generation, made of aluminum with direct fuel injection. What does change is the admission and cooling, and as the gearbox torque converter is more efficient, accelerates a little faster and spend a little less (8.6-9.2 l/100 km). The Rear brake discs are solid , not vented.
