To reduce CO2 emissions, the British manufacturer has unveiled a new ECO2 diesel engine that will allow the Jaguar XF sedan and wagon, to reduce fuel consumption.
Combined with an 8-speed automatic transmission, the new 2.2-liter diesel engine has 163hp ECO2. It has new EGR valve and a cooling system revisited that reduces CO2 emissions by more than 6 grams per km compared to version 2013 (or 129g of CO2 per km).

This fuel economy is achieved in part thanks to the new Stop & Start system, called TSS, which uses a twin solenoid starter (Twin Solenoid Starter). It allows a clean cut the engine off but also a very fast restarts in less time than it takes to move from brake pedal to the accelerator, in the words of Jaguar.
The system also offers a feature that allows you to restart the engine in stationary phase more quickly and it can be disabled manually. To avoid any concern for the restart, the Jaguar XF has a secondary battery to the other systems (GPS, air conditioning, ...) to function normally on the standard battery.
Finally, the Jaguar XF 2014 sees the introduction of new features such as a navigation system more advanced and intuitive mapping, a search function easier addresses, an intelligent keyboard or a view of the road mode.
